Château of Coppet
The fame of the Château of Coppet starts in 1784, the year of its purchase by Jacques Necker. Necker, born in Geneva, made an exceptional career in Paris, where Louis XVI, King of France, chose him to be his Finance Minister.
Château de Prangins
Superbly renovated and set in English-style gardens, the château boasts one of Switzerland's most important kitchen gardens, laid out according to ancient documents. The château's museum, through permanent and temporary exhibitions, evokes life, art and culture in Switzerland in the 18th and 19th centuries.
