The printing workshop
Do you know what a codex is ? What purpose does a "case" serve ? Don't hesitate to come and visit this very particular environment. A visit to this permanent exhibition retraces the history of books, from the first printing methods to typographic book production in Voltaire's time.
PERMANENT EXHIBITION
The workshop demonstrates the art of printing in the 18th century using a reconstructed wooden press of the type on which the first edition of Candide could have been printed.
