Tours for individuals

A tour for individuals offers an introduction to CERN, allowing visitors to discover the history of the Laboratory and the latest scientific developments. The tour consists of a visit to a historic area of CERN and to the operations centre of one of the experiments. Immersive audio-visual presentations complement the information provided by the tour guide.
Duration: about 2h
Please note that this tour does not include an underground visit.

The tour is on foot (outdoors and indoors) with a maximum of 24 people in the group. Reservation here

Tours in English :

Mondays to saturdays from 11 am to 1 pm
Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from 1 to 3 pm.

Important information 

As the CERN site straddles the border between France and Switzerland, some of the tours will entail crossing the border. Do not forget to bring your identity card or your passport with you.

For safety reasons, high-heeled shoes, open-toed shoes, flip-flops or sandals are not permitted.
